Located 285 kms from Bhopal, V Resorts Vrindavan Gopala Bhedaghat is a riverside retreat that provides unadulterated views of the Dhuandhar falls (please note: to reach the resort, you will have to take a ropeway across the river). The sheer fact that the Narmada river is flowing in such close proximity is enough to put your mind at ease and more importantly make city life feel eons away.
The expansive green lawns, outdoor restaurant dining (with a range of local delicacies) and conference room, are sure to add a unique dimension to your stay. Whether you want to soak in the impressive views outside or just explore the destination, the resort allows you the perfect base to do both.
Although the resort has enough activities to keep you occupied throughout your stay, the main attraction of Bhedaghat is the Marble Rocks, an attractive river gorge. As the Narmada river swiftly paves its way through the beautiful Marble rocks, it reaches a culmination point where it narrows down and plunges into a waterfall, which is popularly called the Dhuandhar Falls. They're particularly impressive by moonlight, and parts are floodlit at night. On the way to the Dhuandhar Falls, is the much-revered Chausath Yogini, a circular 10th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, accessed via a steep flight of steps on the right-hand side of the road. In case you have more time on your hand, you can also visit Jabalpur (30.2 kms; drive time: 1 hour).
