Finally, it was rebranded to its current name of Malaysia Airlines.

The Malaysia Airlines baggage allowance is generous. As a First Class passenger, you can carry 50 kg, Business Class entitles you to 40 kg and Economy allows 30 kg. Your luggage should be in bags not exceeding 62 inches in size. For an infant, a single bag, no bigger than 45 inches, is allowed as cabin baggage.

Along with this, one collapsible pushchair/stroller or bassinet is permitted. The entire weight permissible for an infant should not exceed 10 kg. A single piece of baggage should not exceed 32 kg in total. This is irrespective of class. All bulky items like musical instruments and sports gear will have to be checked in, but only after they are fit into protective covers.

Enrich Platinum members are allowed additional 100% baggage, irrespective of class of travel. Similarly, Enrich Gold are allowed 50% extra and Enrich Silver passengers gets 5 kg extra. GRADS are permitted 10 kg more of baggage on non-promotional fares.
