SriLankan Airlines joined the oneworld airline alliance on May 1st, 2014 as the first carrier from the Indian Sub-continent. SriLankan now flies alongside some of the biggest and premier brands in the airline business – American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian and S7 airlines. SriLankan operates a fleet of 25 aircraft – including wide-bodied A330 aircraft, A321 aircraft and mid-range A320s.
The SriLankan fleet contains luxurious seats that have ample pitch and width. Seating is in a two-class system of Business and Economy. Business classes on long haul aircraft are equipped with full flat-bed seats. The AVOD in-flight entertainment system has the latest Audio / Video On Demand function with games etc. Complementing this facility are the wide screens with superior high resolution picture quality for infinite viewing pleasure. Also available is the air-show with forward and downward cameras; and video games in most seats. The Airlines’ A330-300 fleet is equipped with the latest Thales Avant in-flight entertainment system, wifi connecitivty and live news updates.
